Koppert Machines has developed multiple systems for lamb's lettuce. From a standalone sower or harvester to a fully automated system. The latter is designed for mounting a rail system at a height of approximately 3 metres, on which crop trolleys move through the entire greenhouse.
Fully automated system
The sowing and harvesting solutions can be fully programmed. The solutions can be made from a few rows to the width of the greenhouse. During harvesting, the robot hovers above the ground, keeping the soil aerated and limiting disease pressure. For process control, the forest robot is operated by one person.
The crop cover trolley adjusts its speed to the sowing or harvesting process. It is driven by motors on the left and right with synchronous control. The over-crop vehicle is completely self-supporting and is powered by a battery pack that supplies electricity to both the vehicle and the sowing and harvesting machine. All controls are electronically monitored and operated by a single person, who has a fixed workstation on the over-crop vehicle.
