This sleeving machine is developed from practice to sleeve all kinds and sizes of flowers in an economically responsible manner. The machine can be placed directly behind the flower line. The flowers are exported sideways and brought into the opened sleeve. There is an option of fixing the sleeve to the bunch using a rubber band. A sticker with price or barcode can also be applied to the sleeve. The machine can “rotate” every sleeve, which the customer deems necessary. A specification for perforation is highly recommended.
The length of the sleeve, the number of processed sleeves and the speed per minute can be read off via a display. The machine can also be linked to a computer on site with a Windows programme. The machine is extremely compact and unique in its dimensions. The dimensions of the machine are 1.50 m long, 0.60 m wide and it has a feeding height of 0.90 m high. This machine packs up to 32 bunches per minute in a fully automatic manner. The bunch length can be set from 300 to 700 mm. The sleeve width can be set from 25 to 50 cm. 3000 sleeves can be saved in the machine’s stockroom in clamps specially meant for the purpose and delivered with the machine. The empty clamps automatically return to the rear of the machine, where these clamps can be filled again and loaded into the machine.
The sleeved flowers are accepted by means of two servo arms. They place the bunch on the binder belt. An electronic protection is achieved by means of a main switch and emergency stop.
The frame of the machine is made entirely of stainless steel. The machine is maintenance-free due to this. The machine is made as per the requirements imposed by the ARBO [Dutch Safety, Health & Welfare Service Act], ISO 9001 and EC.
This machine is built in modules, so that every set-up is possible behind existing bunching lines.
